Highlights of Six Months of EPD Street Crimes Unit Arrests

Eugene, Ore. – A couple of Eugene Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit officers were assigned to later night shifts intermittently and have some great results EPD wants to share. Below is a synopsis of cases they have put together during the past six months.
 
ANTHONY ROBERT ANDREOTTI (2020 mugshot)

January – 

Anthony Andreotti search warrant service. January 12, 2022, 1600 block of Ferry Street
Andreotti was suspected of selling pound-level amounts of methamphetamine and large quantities of blue pills labeled as Oxycodone but suspected to be counterfeit fentanyl pills.
Based on Andreotti`s past history of possessing firearms and the location proximity to South Eugene High School and the University of Oregon, Eugene Police SWAT served the warrant and was assisted by the Eugene Police Drone Team.
Charges: Unlawful Possession Controlled Substance Methamphetamine (Commercial Drug Offense) and UPCS Heroin (Commercial Drug Offense). Case 22-00639

Kory Paul Miller search warrant service 22-01703, January 31, 2022, 300 block of Santa Clara Avenue. Kory Paul Miller was suspected of selling up to a pound of methamphetamines from his residence at Santa Clara Avenue.

Charges: two counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, UPCS Methamphetamine (Commercial Drug Offense), UPCS Heroin (Commercial Drug Offense)
 – More than 200 grams of methamphetamine (Detection by K9)
– More than 20 grams of heroin  (Detection by K9)
– One 9 millimeter handgun
– One .223/5.56 semi-automatic firearm
– Packaging material/operational digital scales/rubber bands
 – Recovered stolen laptop

February – 

Nicolas Carl Norene search warrant service 22-03149, February 23, 2022, 200 block of W. 8th Avenue. SCU investigated a residential burglary that occurred on February 12, 2022, and developed information Norene was involved.
Charges: Burglary in the First Degree, Identity Theft and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card (Case 22-03149), Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Case 22-02577), and felony Possession of Methamphetamines (Case 22-03383).

SCU officers conducted a weapons and narcotics investigation at 1700 block of Grove Street
Charges: Tamper with Physical Evidence, and Frequenting a Place Where Controlled Substances are Used. This was a community impact case only, drug paraphernalia, gun parts, unrelated evidence for VCU case (Online Sexual Corruption case and suspect)

Raymond Martin Kennedy vehicle search warrant 22-03826, March 8, 2022, 1700 block of Evergreen Drive. Kennedy was suspected of selling and distributing pound-level amounts of methamphetamine.

Eugene Police Street Crimes Unit
The SCU has been focusing on prolific offenders, who are identified through intelligence-based policing, public tips and other sources. They have been proactively responding across the city to quality of life issues as they arise, using all available resources and partners such as community groups, neighborhood associations and city services. SCU is dedicated to targeting immediate and acute community safety system issues while working toward mission-critical enhancements that need to be addressed through a longer-term and broader community safety initiative. The unit currently consists of a lieutenant, a sergeant and five officers, including one officer with a drug detection K9.
